Gail Gillman

Gail Gillman (nee Sparr), age 85, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was born December 16, 1940, to the late Lewis and Rose (nee Rein) Sparr. Devoted wife to William “Billy” Gillman. Loving mother to Heather (John Sutorius) Gillman, Kelly (Butch) Zepf, and Amanda Gillman. Dear grandmother to Wyatt and Layla Zepf. Sister to Jay (Liz) Sparr. Gail shared 53 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, building a life centered on love, family, laughter, and adventure. Together they created treasured memories through their travels and the many experiences they shared with family along the way. Her greatest joy was simply being surrounded by those she loved most. Gail had a lifelong passion for horseback riding and found great happiness at Derbyshire, where she spent many memorable days doing what she loved. Her compassion for others shined through her volunteer work with Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and at Summit Behavioral Healthcare, where she gave generously of her time, patience, and caring spirit. She believed deeply in helping others and brought warmth and encouragement to everyone she met. Above all else, Gail was an incredible mother, grandmother, and wife. She especially loved the time she spent with her grandchildren, Wyatt and Layla and was always there to cheer them on at their soccer and softball games. Her family was the center of her world, and she filled their lives with unwavering love, strength, wisdom, and support. She will be remembered for her gentle heart, generous spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 1:30PM at Weil Kahn Funeral Home (8350 Cornell Rd. Cincinnati, OH. 45249) where guests will be received from 1PM until the time of service. Services will be LIVE STREAMED at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/embed_viewer/122482. Burial will follow immediately at United Jewish Cemetery Montgomery (7885 Ivygate Ln. Cincinnati, OH. 45242). A gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 6-8PM at the Gillman residence (7550 Fernwood Dr. Cincinnati, OH. 45237).
