    YULI KITAEVICH Yuli Kitaevich, 86 of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on March 17, 2022, peacefully at his home after a several year battle with prostate cancer. Yuli was born in Moscow, Russia on 1/1/1936. He finished several certifications and masters degree in electrical engineering. He immigrated to Cincinnati in 1974 as a Jewish refugee and began rebuilding his family’s life. He became the head of medical instrumentation for Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati for 20+ years. He enjoyed many cultural activities, music and travel and was an avid art collector, humanitarian and successful inventor. He received several accolades in his field and was involved in Soviet Jewry and was a lifelong activist. Yuli is survived by his devoted partner, Tatyana Leonova and her son Mikhael Braude-Zolotarev. Yuli’s children Evelyna (Gerasimenko), Marina (Kurt Bresser), Anna (Mike Naberhaus) and his son Joseph Kitaevich. He was a grandfather to Darya (Joe Gauthier, husband), Ilya Braude-Zolotarev, Aleksei and Camilla Korobow (Andre and Diana Korobow’s children), Mila and Jacob Naberhaus as well as a great grandfather to Cassian Gerasimenko and Damian Gauthier. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ida and his twin sister Evelyna, beloved wife, Galina Kitaevich and son-in-law Ilya Gerasimenko. A private burial will be held for the family at United Jewish Cemetery with his dear friend Rabbi Abie Ingber officiating. A celebration of life on April 30th will take place for family and friends.
