James Kanter Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

KANTER, James, D.D.S. M.S., 83, passed away on July 14, 2022, beloved son of the late Oscar Kanter and Minna Wunsch Kanter, devoted husband of Beverly Fink Kanter, devoted father of Matthew Kanter (Lisa Rigamonti), Gregory Kanter, Jennifer Kanter (Darrin Schuck), caring brother of Julian Kanter (Cami Dias Kanter), adoring grandfather of Grace Schuck, Sam Schuck, Ben Kanter, also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim (Jimmy, Doc, Poppy) will be remembered for his infectious, sometimes mischievous, smile and boisterous giggle, for his love of his family and friends and especially his grandkids, and for his devotion to his patients, especially the kids, during his more than thirty year orthodontic practice. He was a graduate of Walnut Hills High School, received a bachelor degree from the University of Cincinnati, received his degree in dentistry from the Ohio State University and his degree in orthodontics from the University of Michigan. Jim was an adventurer and a second baseman, a scuba diver, skier, world traveler, vegetarian, animal lover and an aspiring wine aficionado. He had a green thumb and an orange corvette. He was married for more than 60 years to the love of his life. He will be profoundly missed. Graveside service 2:00 pm, July 21, United Jewish Cemeteries, 7885 Ivygate Lane, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
