    Ethel L. Willow

    June 20, 1928 - February 25, 2021

    Ethel Lessure Willow passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 92. She was born on June 20, 1928 in Newport, Kentucky to Harry and Lillian Weiner Lessure, moving to Cincinnati as a child. She graduated from Hughes High School in Cincinnati and the University of Minnesota School of Nursing as a registered nurse. She was predeceased by her husband Gilbert Willow, her siblings, Pauline Milofsky, Max, Louis, Jack and Dr. Albert Lessure as well as her daughter, Harriet Willow Moore. She is survived by her children, Ann (Barry) Kaplan of Cincinnati, and Mark (Marjorie) Willow of Prairieville, La. as well has her son-in-law, Mark Moore of New Orleans, La. She was the grandmother of Garrett (Tammy) Moore of New Orleans, La., Gil Kaplan of Los Angeles, Ca. and Brendan Ryan of Cincinnati, Oh. Ethel worked as a registered nurse in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Birmingham, Al. before moving with her husband Gilbert to New Orleans, La., where she spent most of her adult life working in the wholesale furniture business before returning to nursing. She retired to Cincinnati in 1988. The family wishes to thank the staff of Cedar Village, Hospice of Cincinnati and Dr. Andrew Loewy for their kind and professional care. Due to Covid -19 services will be private.
