Lowenthal Elaine, nee Keilson, age 91 passed away November 1, 2016, beloved wife of the late Herschel Lowenthal, devoted mother of Susan (John) Salter, loving grandmother of Dan and Jeff Ritchie and Devon Cook, great grandmother of James Cook. Graveside services Friday November 4, 1:30PM at United Jewish Cemetery-Walnut Hills, 3400 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati Ohio 45207. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Isaac M. Wise Temple, American Cancer Society or the Make-A-Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements under the direction of Weil Funeral Home, Inc., Cincinnati, OH. * Born in Cincinnati September 14, 1925 to Ida and Dan Keilson * Proud alumni of Walnut Hills High School and University of Alabama * Wife of the late Herschel Lowenthal * Worked as a patient information volunteer at Jewish Hospital for over 10 years * Mother of Susan H. Salter, mother in law to John Salter * Grandmother of Dan and Jeff Ritchie and Devon Cook. Great grandmother of James Cook * Friend of her attentive caregiver, Regina Brown * Elaine was an avid traveler and her fondest memories were of her many friends in Boca Raton, Florida. She enjoyed bargain shopping, dining out, hosting family dinners at her home and was happiest when she was "on the go". She enjoyed reading every book from her favorite authors and continued to visit the library throughout her life. Elaine had a generous nature and donated to multiple wildlife and children's causes
