It is with the deepest sadness that we inform you of the passing of Charles “Charlie” William Foster. Charlie is survived by his children, Elizabeth and Chase (Sarah); beloved grandson, Nathan; sister, Janet Foster; sister-in-law, Adele (Lynn) Sheftel; brother-in-law Steve Ehrlich; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura, his brother Howard, sister-in-law Debbie, and his parents, Mary Helen & Glenn Foster, all of blessed memory. Born on November 17, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN, Charlie was a loving friend and a bright personality. Like his family he was deeply musical. He was an active member of his local Boy Scout troop and the Crossroads of America Scout Band, and played piano and organ for his church and other functions throughout his life. He moved to Cincinnati, OH to attend the University of Cincinnati, where he joined Phi Kappa Theta. One of his brothers set him up on a blind date where he met his life partner, Laura, and they made their home in Cincinnati. Charlie spent his life teaching and serving his community. He was a real estate agent and an active member of many organizations. He was a National President of the Real Estate Educators Association, the Ohio Network President of the Women’s Council of Realtors, the current Treasurer of the Cincinnati Board of Realtors, and a Director of the Ohio Association of Realtors. He served his local community as a member of the Madisonville Community Council, and he made his spiritual home at First Church of Christ, Scientist where he was active in leadership in a variety of roles. A memorial service will be held at Weil Kahn, located at 8350 Cornell Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249, on Sunday, May 22 at 4:00pm. The family will receive guests before the service, beginning at 2:00pm. A shiva minyan will be held Sunday evening at 7:30 pm at Desha's Restaurant, in the Nicholson Room, 11320 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45249. Minyan will be led by Rabbi Karen Thomashow. Chase will sit shiva Wednesday evening at his home in Cleveland, Ohio. The family requests that masks be worn indoors.
