Peggy Barrett

PEGGY BARRETT CINCINNATI-Peggy Barrett, age 83, of Blue Ash, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, with family by her side, after her courageous battle with ALS. Born on June 11, 1941, Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Alvin Lindenberg Jr. and brother Jerry Lindenberg. She leaves behind her daughters, Andrea (Barrett) Gorrilla and Elaine (Barrett) Rybski, her son-in-law Paul Rybski, and her cherished grandchildren Cyrus, Kira, Justin, and Jaden Gorrilla, and Nathan and Claire Rybski. Peggy will also be missed by her extended family, many dear friends, gracious neighbors, and her faithful dog Willy. Peggy lived a full and vibrant life, defined by her many passions and love for family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a dedicated friend, and a passionate volunteer. She was a skilled professional bookkeeper and gardener, and an avid hiker, mountaineer, world traveler, life master bridge player, and a lover of the local arts, where she regularly attended performances of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and the Mariemont Players. Peggy was a dedicated volunteer at both The Valley Temple and Rockdale Temple, where she was a member of the sisterhood and contributed her time to gardening, baking, and editing the Temple cookbooks; Peggy was particularly passionate about her volunteer work with The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY, a natural history museum of the Adirondacks, where she was a dedicated supporter since its opening in 2004. Peggy’s generosity and joy for life will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 1:30 pm at The Valley Temple, 145 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45215. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to The Wild Center, located in Tupper Lake, NY, a place she loved deeply and spent nearly every summer since she was two years old.
