Nancy C. Youkilis

Nancy Youkilis, 82, passed away October 3, 2024. She was born on March 31, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH. She was raised in Wyoming, Ohio with her 2 sisters, Barbara and Judy. She attended Walnut Hills High School and then graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Languages. It was there that she met her beloved Marvyn who was attending medical school also at UC. They soon wed and started a beautiful life together. Nancy and Marvyn had 3 sons within 4 years. They loved attending their sons' sports activities and plays at school. Summers were spent with family and friends at "The Farm" in Williamsburg near Batavia, Ohio. They also enjoyed trips to Lake Cumberland. Winters and spring were for snow skiing in Colorado. Life for Nancy was all about enjoying time with the ones she loved. Nancy became a travel agent with Victoria Travel when her sons were leaving for college. She and Marvyn took full advantage of her experience and started exploring the world together. They never settled on a favorite spot, but touched all 6 continents in search of the right place. They finally made a home away from home in Naples, Florida where they loved having kids, grandkids, family and friends share the beautiful sun at The Condo. Nancy was always the happiest in the sun. Nancy soon became known as Baka, which is Croatian for Grandma, to all of her grandchildren. Our Baka Nancy was famous for making treats like Rogelach and Zwieback for all the kids. She was always a great chef and baker and there was always extra leftovers to take home. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Adeline (nee Hirschler) Coplan. She is survived by her devoted husband, Marvyn Youkilis. Nancy was a loving mother to Bradley (Julie) Youkilis, Bob (Tina) Youkilis, and Andy (Iva) Youkilis. Nancy also leaves behind her 9 grandchildren including Noah, Sarah, Jacob, Katherine, Sam, Margaret, Ben, Adam, and Joseph. She will also be fondly remembered by her caretaker, Allie Martin, with whom she shared a special bond, and Deborah White who also shared a loving devotion to both Nancy and Marvyn over the last 3 years. A funeral service for Nancy will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 12:30PM at Weil Kahn Funeral Home, 8350 Cornell Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 with visitation beginning at 11:30AM. Services will be LIVESTREAMED https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/embed_viewer/105213. Burial will directly follow at United Jewish Cemetery of Montgomery, 7885 Ivygate Lane Montgomery, Ohio 45242. A remembrance for Nancy will be held at The Kenwood in the first floor fitness classroom from 5:00-7:00PM on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
