MILES STEGMAN Miles Stegman was 31 years old when he passed away on April 1st, 2022. He is survived by his mother Lisa Stegman, father Jeffrey Stegman (Audrey Causilla), his sister Madeleine Stegman, his grandparents Thomas and Delores Stegman, Jerry and Rose Collins as well as his extended family on the Collins and Stegman sides, and his dearest friends. Born December 24th, 1990 on Christmas Eve in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended Indian Hill High School, then went on to graduate from University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Sociology. His love of wine took him to work and study in Australia and New Zealand. He studied viniculture at the University of California, Davis. He was a budding winemaker and hoped to start his own vineyard. He was most recently managing the family farm in Indiana, spending time with his father and his loving dog Tazzy on the land. He wished to plant a lavender field and raise alpacas. Miles was a lover of nature and animals all his life. He was a forever student of horticulture and loved to research, propagate, and grow new plants. He had an incredible ear and impeccable taste in music. He played guitar and was exploratory and experimental in music listening and creation. He was deeply knowledgeable and passionate about food and wine. He loved the grape. He has many loving friends who would often refer to him as a ‘gentle giant” or “Baby Smiles”. His spirit will live on through all the people who adored him, as well as through the plants and animals of this earth.
