Jon "Jack" Jacobs

Jon (Jack) H. Jacobs, 89, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, at his home, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, integrity, and love for his family. Born on May 23, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jack devoted over 60 years of his life to the practice of law, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike for his unmatched diligence and sharp legal mind. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Jackie Jacobs; his stepchildren, Julie Vicenzi & husband Tony and Jeffrey Diemer & partner Dede Hummer; and his cherished grandchildren, Jordan Rokita & husband Kyle, Hannah Bowe, and Jonah Bowe. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Rory and Kira Rokita. Jack was the last surviving son of Harris and Alyce Jacobs, and brother to Harris (Sonny), Walter, and Eddie, along with many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his estranged children from his first marriage, Vickie Jacobs and Brad Jacobs. In 1981, Jack and his brother Harris established Harris & Jon Jacobs Law Offices, where they served clients with vigor and loyalty for over 38 years. Jack was an avid skier, hunter, and fisherman who often enjoyed a day on the boat, fish or no fish. He also had a special love for gardening, particularly growing tomatoes—his true specialty. Although the persistent deer and chipmunks were often his nemeses, Jack never let them deter him from his efforts. Jack was a true "meat and potatoes" man, but he’d always say with a smile, “Don’t worry, I’ll find something.” His unshakable spirit and sense of humor made him a memorable figure to all who knew him. Even in his later years, his handshake remained firm—a testament to his strength of character and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Though Jack would say he was not a perfect man, he was there whenever you needed someone. Those who knew him will remember him for his sharp wit, unwavering principles, and the deep love he held for his family. He leaves behind a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him. Per Jack’s wishes, there will be no public services held.
